Before we get started here, let me introduce myself. I’m Matt Harzewski (a.k.a. “redwall_hp”). I’m a web designer and developer, card-carrying fantasy fanatic, and the founder and editor of Fantasy Folder. I got into fantasy when I read the first Harry Potter book several years ago, and have been reading fantasy novels ever since. You can read my full bio here.

I’ve spent the last few months planning and building Fantasy Folder, with the intent of putting together a central place to find fantasy news, suggestions of books to read, and discussion. There are other fantasy sites out there, but most of them are hard to find, not ranking in search engines for obvious search terms. I hope to be able to do just that given time.

The archives have been loaded with a few posts to get you started, and new posts will be added on a regular basis. I plan to have at least one new post added every week, be it news, a book review, or something else.

One part of the site that I’d especially like to see grow is the Fantasy Folder Forums. The forums are a great place to discuss everything fantasy, and hopefully it won’t take too long for them to start seeing some activity.

Enjoy the site, and if you’d like to contribute, please let me know. I’m always on the lookout for talented writers who would like to contribute a book review, a short story of their own, or a news article. Frequent and one-time writers are both welcome. Authors get a link to their site on their author page, as well as on the posts they write. Author pages (see example) show an author’s posts, their Gravatar, a brief bio, a link to their site, and optionally their Shelfari widget.
