The end is finally here. Some of you have been waiting more than twenty years for this book, and others less. Either way, the fourteenth and final installment in The Wheel of Time has finally been released to the world.

The much-anticipated Last Battle certainly lives up to expectations, spanning the majority of the book, with nonstop action all the way up to the dramatic conclusion. Armies clash, plot lines are finished, and characters live or die. We finally get to see the main characters at top of their game.

Some questions are still left unanswered of course, though the things that didn’t make the final cut may yet be revealed in the upcoming encyclopedia that Harriet is supposed to be editing.

It’s hard to believe it’s all over. The Wheel of Time has been one of my absolute favorite series since I first picked up The Eye of the World in 2007, shortly after Robert Jordan’s passing. Thank you, Brandon Sanderson, for supplying an ending to one of the greatest fantasy epics of all time. Some may like it, others may not. But it is an ending. And a beginning.
